GSC has been very honored to represent Ruben Estevez to the music industry for the past nearly three years. Most recently Ruben was a GSC FEATURED writer at our quarterly GSC PLAYS4U! Event at The Listening Room. We have played Ruben’s song, “I Feel Ya,” three times for publishers! We are thrilled to know that we were on the right track with this song as it is now Bucky Covington’s single! Doug Folkins, CANADA – signs publishing deal with Lynn Gann Music Enterprises while attending a GSC Focus Event. This deal is the result of a culmination of Doug’s efforts through the years and his usage of our services.
Danni Ri, ALABAMA – signs publishing deal with Dallas Gregory of Song Rocket Music. Dallas heard Danni Ri at our GSC Focus event and calls GSC on Monday and wants to sign her.

Congratulations to GSC Member James Kocian from Wisconsin who recently had one of his songs put on hold for a major music project through Global Songwriters. We are crossing our fingers for you James! When the song plugger had been pitching songs for the project and not getting the response James needed, he called on GSC to see if we could help. Good news is that our GSC members are not just a number and we know the types of songs you write. This was a very specific and narrow pitch and a few writers were selected to submit. James was among them. He submitted a song, got their attention and it was immediately put on hold. The song is scheduled to sign a single song contract with the publisher.
You may recall that GSC invited James and Erskin Anavitarte to perform at the Dove Awards in 2013. James was first heard through a GSC Publisher Online Pitch Event and as a result, will soon be scheduling publisher meetings. James will also be one of the featured writers at our February 11 GSC PLAYS4U! event at The Listening Room in Nashville. GSC Career Mentoring Session: I remember when I first met Erskin Anavitarte from Nashville in a mentoring session back in the early part of this year. The #2 Goal I put on his plan was “”volunteer at The Dove Awards!”” I visualized. Erskin performing at the Dove Awards and wanted to get him as close as I could even if it meant volunteering! GSC Christian Pop Event w/ Joel Timen of Word Music Publishing: I was putting the songs in order for our September Christian POP Event when I came across the voice of James Kocian from Wisconsin. I called James immediately and asked if that was his voice on the cd. He said it was not only his voice but his production as well and that he had been praying for direction for his music and career when he came across Global Songwriters Connection. If James had NOT participated in our GSC POP Event, I would have never heard his music! And now…read the rest of the story!

Joshua has been getting a lot of attention and interest from Nashville publishers by participating in our GSC POP events and using our Career Mentoring Services and GSC Song Evaluations. Last year about this time, I participated in the Texaco Country Showdown as a performer. I finished 4th in the local competitionat the beautiful Branson Landing through 102.9 The Z out of Harrison, AR.
