Last year about this time, I participated in the Texaco Country Showdown as a performer. I finished 4th in the local competitionat the beautiful Branson Landing through 102.9 The Z out of Harrison, AR.
After having such inspiring encouragement and a great GSC career planning session earlier this spring, I participated again in this year’s local Texaco Country Showdown competition and WON! I now have the opportunity to compete in the Arkansas State Finals on Oct 20th and with the goal of accomplishing a bucketlist dream of the Grand Prize and performing on the
Ryman Auditorium stage. Through the Showdown, I was also able to use 2 of my own original songs that went over great with the crowd AND the judges. I am grateful to my friends at the GSC for all of their help and encouragement. They have given me very quick, tangible results that have allowed me to get down in accomplishing my musical goals.
