ABOUT CARRIE CUNNINGHAM, PRESIDENT

Carrie Cunningham is the President of Global Songwriters Connection, a Nashville-based singer-songwriter, industry mentor, and former touring artist with over two decades of real-world experience. She has performed on more than 1,000 stages, opened for over 50 national acts, earned international chart success, and spent years mentoring songwriters at every level of their careers. As a voting member of both the CMA and the Recording Academy, Carrie brings real industry perspective to every mentoring session.

ABOUT SHEREE’ SPOLTORE’, FOUNDER

Sheree Spoltore is a music industry mentor, career coach, and the founder of Global Songwriters Connection. With a career spanning touring, songwriting, publishing, artist management, and executive leadership, she has dedicated her life to helping songwriters develop both their craft and their careers. In 2013, Sheree founded Global Songwriters Connection with a simple but powerful vision: to create a personalized, mentoring-focused environment where songwriters could grow professionally, build meaningful relationships, and pursue long-term, sustainable careers. Since its founding, GSC has become a respected hub for career development, helping writers at every level move forward with clarity and confidence. Sheree’s industry experience is both deep and diverse. She has worked as a song plugger, staff writer, and artist manager on Music Row, collaborating with influential figures including Barbara Orbison, Merle Kilgore, and Hank Williams Jr. She later served for seven years at the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) as National Membership Director and Assistant Executive Director. During that time, she helped develop programs that contributed to more than 180 publishing deals, record deals, and successful independent careers. Raised in a musical family with professional songwriter parents, Sheree’s roots in the creative world run deep. She toured the United States and Europe with the National Choir, performed at Carnegie Hall, appeared in off-Broadway productions, and was invited to perform at President Bill Clinton’s 1993 inaugural festivities. As a songwriter, her music has been recorded by independent artists and featured in film, television, and commercial projects. Throughout her career, Sheree has remained committed to serving the broader music community. She has spoken at major songwriting events and universities, served on numerous boards, and maintained active membership in organizations including the Women’s Music Business Association, the Country Music Association, SOURCE, and the Recording Academy. Her contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including:

She often describes this approach as “soul crafting” alongside song crafting, helping songwriters build not just great songs, but meaningful lives in music. Today, the organization she founded continues to grow under the leadership of President Carrie Cunningham, carrying forward the mentoring-driven foundation Sheree established while expanding opportunities for the next generation of songwriters.
