One year ago today on January 28^th, 2013 at 11:11 p.m., Global Songwriters Connection officially launched!

Within the first 2 minutes of going live, we had our very first GSC member, Barry Allen. Thank you, Barry, for making a memory for our GSC team that we will never forget.  We are honored to have you as an official part of our GSC history.

Since our launch date one year ago, our GSC team has been hard at work on behalf of our members.  We are proud to report that Global Songwriters Connection now has members in 45 states and in over 10 countries worldwide who are experiencing great success!

The Weekly Wrap Up – Oh What a Night!

“Oh What a Night” is a song title, but it is also the best way to describe our very first GSC POP Event of 2014 featuring top Nashville publisher Woody Bomar! Or maybe I should borrow the title to a song  Woody took that was written by Nancy Watson and co-written by Brad Yunek, “WOW!”

Thanks to each of you for allowing me to represent YOU and your songs. It is a privilege I never take for granted.

First of all, it was wonderful to have Mary Haller to join us at Green Hills publishing! What a difference a year can make! In March of 2013, Mary purchase three POP opportunities as she wanted Woody to hear who she was as a writer. I remember playing Mary’s songs and especially enjoying her song “If you Give a Man a Mower.” Woody heard something  in Mary’s songs that interested him and all of last year he chose to mentor her and help her grow in the industry and as a writer. Mary now has a real working relationship with Woody and sends her songs directly to him for review! Even better, Woody currently has one of Mary’s songs on hold with a major recording artist! All in less than 1 year!

Mary, we are all crossing our fingers with you! Your success is well deserved and hard earned. Thank you for sharing your journey with me and your GSC family. We celebrate and congratulate you knowing that the best is yet to come!

1. January 28 – We celebrate our one year Anniversary by sending you two more great pitch opportunities in our member only newsletter! I trust you are pitching your best songs to the pitch opportunity we had in our member newsletter last week. This is a band on the rise and going into the studio soon!

2. January 30 – GSC Christian POP Event – featuring SONY/ATV’s Devon Devries

3. February – GSC announces it’s FOCUS EVENTS – where the FOCUS is on you! Watch our website and FB page for more information.

4. February 4 – GSC opens its first GSC Chapter. Soon you will be able to attend monthly GSC meetings in your local area!
